Digital Storytelling Workshop

In early 2024, Touro University offered a unique opportunity for aspiring educators. They hosted a two-day Digital Storytelling workshop aimed at creating engaging STEM units for middle school science classes. This first session, held on a date February 8 and culminated on May 5, was designed for teacher candidates and biology majors to collaborate and get their creative juices flowing.

The workshop was a hands-on, interactive trans media experience where participants would work together to develop a dynamic STEM unit specifically tailored for 5th or 6th graders.

This collaborative effort, led by Touro University Graduate School of Education and the New York School of Career and Applied Studies, aimed to equip future teachers with the skills to make science learning fun and engaging for their students.
